Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Anarchy Inc. (the "Company"), the operator of the Kokorang Service, and its members ("Members") regarding the use of the Kokorang mobile and web Korean-learning game service (the "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and completed sign-up.
• "Content" means learning material, images, audio, and data provided within the Service by the Company.
• "Stars" are non-cash achievement points that accumulate as a Member progresses through lessons and match results. Stars are never deducted and are used solely for membership level, ranking, and podium displays.
• "Marbles" are non-cash in-app currency that accrue through learning, matches, daily attendance, and gifts from friends, and are deducted when a Member uses in-game items (e.g., hints, undo) or sends a marble gift to a friend.
• "Match" means competitive multi-player modes provided within the Service.

Article 3 (Effect and Modification of Terms)

• These Terms take effect when posted within the Service.
• The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by law, with notice posted at least 7 days (or 30 days for material changes) before the effective date.
• If a Member does not agree to the amended Terms, the Member may terminate the contract by deleting their account.

Article 4 (Account Registration)

• An account is created when the user agrees to these Terms, submits the required information, and the Company accepts the application.
• Users under 14 may sign up only with the consent of a legal guardian.
• The Company may refuse or revoke an application in cases including:
  • Use of another person's information or submission of false information;
  • An applicant who previously lost membership status applying again;
  • Clear indication of intent to violate applicable law or these Terms.

Article 5 (Account Management)

• Members are responsible for safeguarding their email, password, and linked social accounts.
• Members must notify the Company immediately upon discovering account theft or unauthorized use.
• Members may delete their account at any time via My > Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, learning progress, match history, and stars/marbles are permanently removed and cannot be restored.

Article 6 (Use of the Service)

• The Company may temporarily suspend the Service when required for operational or technical reasons, with prior or subsequent notice.
• In addition to free content, the Company may introduce paid content or subscription products in the future, governed by separate terms or notices.
• Kokorang currently displays no advertisements.

Article 7 (Stars, Marbles and Other Non-Cash Points)

1) Stars

• Stars are cumulative achievement points earned through learning progress, match rewards, and daily attendance.
• Stars are never deducted and are used only as a progression and ranking indicator.
• Stars have no cash value, are not refundable, and may not be transferred or gifted to other Members.

2) Marbles

• Marbles are an in-game currency earned through learning and match rewards, daily attendance, sign-up bonuses, and gifts from friends.
• Marbles are consumed when a Member uses in-game items (such as hints or undo) or sends a marble gift to a friend.
• Marbles have no cash value, are not refundable, and may not be transferred outside of the Company-provided friend-gifting feature.
• The Company may impose daily caps or maximum balances for operational reasons.

3) General

• Stars and Marbles may be forfeited upon account deletion, if fraudulent accrual is confirmed, or after retention periods set by the Company.
• The Company may modify accrual, deduction, or balance policies for operational reasons, with prior notice.

Article 8 (Member Obligations)

• Do not defame, harass, or otherwise infringe the personal rights of others.
• Do not use automated tools, modified clients, or any other unfair means in match modes.
• Do not use friend or gifting features to send spam, scams, or commercial messages.
• Do not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Service content without the Company's prior written consent.
• Do not violate applicable law, these Terms, or the Company's operational policies.

Article 9 (Use Restrictions)

If a Member violates these Terms or operational policies, the Company may issue warnings, temporary suspension, permanent restriction, recovery of stars and marbles, or other measures appropriate to the violation. In cases of serious violations, membership may be terminated immediately, and accrued stars/marbles and learning progress will not be restored.

Article 10 (Intellectual Property)

All content, design, and trademarks within the Service are owned by the Company or the respective rights-holders. Members may not reproduce, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works without the Company's prior written consent.

Article 11 (Limitation of Liability)

• The Company is not liable for damages arising from force majeure, network outages, or acts of third parties not attributable to the Company.
• The Company does not intervene in disputes between Members or related to Member-posted content and bears no liability for such disputes.
• Loss of non-cash points is governed by Article 7.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Disputes)

• These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
• Disputes shall first be resolved through mutual discussion. Otherwise, the court of jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act shall apply.
